 Does Government discriminate against foreign-owned companies?
There are few restrictions placed on foreign companies such as the rights to own land, the minimum capital required to start off a foreign business, and the prohibition on participation in selected activities. However, these restrictions can be relaxed for projects qualified as promoted activities. Other than that stated in Foreign Business Act, Thai law does not differentiate between Thai and foreign firms.
