What
are criteria used for considering approval of work permit? |
Where
is the application for work permit and visa to be submitted?Under
the Alien Occupation Law, all foreigners prior to beginning
the work must obtain Work Permit. Foreigners who are applying
for work permit must hold non-immigrant visas (i.e. non-B).
In approving work permit application, the immigration officials
consider many factors including:

Whether the position applied is consistent with the resume/
work experience and education. |

Whether the position applied is allowed for foreigners under
the Alien Law. |

Whether the salary for the position meets the minimum requirement
which is imposed differently for each continent (i.e. Asia,
Europe and America) |
